⛳ Charity Stableford in Support of the Golf Foundation

Hedsor Cub Captain announces the RESULT in respect of our entries

Robert Macdiarmid won the golf foundations competition, Unleash Your Drive 24th May with a Stableford score of 42 points. This was good enough to secure a place in the national final at the Grove on 11th August. Congratulations to Rob on this excellent result and going on to represent Hedsor in a National Competition FINAL.

We’re pleased to announce that our club will be supporting the Golf Foundation, a national charity that helps young people access and enjoy golf, particularly those who might not otherwise get the opportunity. The Foundation works with more than 2,500 schools and reaches over 225,000 young people each year, using golf to build confidence, resilience, and wellbeing.

To support their work, we’ll be running a Charity Stableford Competition, open to all members.

Competition Details

• Format: Individual Stableford
• Entry: Minimum £5 donation (all proceeds to the Golf Foundation)
• Handicap Categories:
  • Category A: 0–12.4
  • Category B: 12.5–20.4
  • Category C: 20.5+
• Qualification: The best 45 scores regionally (15 from each category) will qualify for the Golf Foundation Final.

Why We’re Supporting the Golf Foundation

The Golf Foundation is committed to growing the game from the ground up. Their programmes introduce golf to children in schools and communities, help develop junior sections at clubs, and use the sport to teach valuable life skills. By taking part, you’ll be helping more young people discover the game we all love.

How to Enter

Simply sign up via our Whatsapp – Hedsor Comps (Announcements/Polls only) competition notification system and view post dated 17th February to add your name. Additional fundraising activities may be available on the day.
