New App Update
In the previous How did I Do app the update for “marker verification” was limited but was to be be expanded to include all participation in line with WHS existing requirements.
The latest app update (version 1.3), is now available on both iOS and Android will include the following:
Marker Verification for Competition Rounds – All Single Acceptable for Handicapping Competition scores must now be approved by the marker before the round can be submitted to CDH. Here’s an overview of the process:
- After completing a round, the player will be prompted to send an approval request to their marker.
- The marker will receive a notification allowing them to review the hole‑by‑hole scores and either approve or reject the round.
- If the marker rejects the score, they will be asked to provide a reason.
- The player will then receive a notification explaining the rejection and will be able to amend the score before resubmitting it for approval.
- Once the score is approved, the marker will be required to sign the scorecard and the round will be automatically submitted to CDH.
- For clubs with Enable Marker Verification for Non-acceptable Scores set to Yes then the above process will also be followed for Singe Non-acceptable Competition scores.
- For clubs with the above setting disabled and for Team scores, the scores are submitted to ClubV1 without needing marker verification.
In ClubV1, within the Scores section of the Competition, clubs can also manually Confirm any rounds that have not yet been signed by a marker.
For clubs using Partner Scoring your players will follow the above process whilst we continue working on introducing partner scoring to competitions in the same way as General Play Rounds
Coming soon:
- Club Finder which will allow golfers to search other golf clubs and view their friends scores
- New HowDidiDo website which will be free-to-use and provide members with an additional way to access the platform alongside the mobile app
- Partner Scoring for Competitions helping to further improve the score verification process
