New App Update to HowDidiDo This Week
It would seem the recent released new app attached to the platform we use for filing our results, as required by England Golf, did not ensure players score are fully verified by a playing partner.
This specific update applies ONLY to those recording results in General Player. A later update is to be released for Competition results.
As a consequence there is an update on the continued development of the new HowDidiDo app.
Working closely with clubs and members has enabled review feedback and prioritised updates that improve stability, usability and the overall member experience of HowDidiDo.
A significant number of enhancements have now already been released, with the majority of key features now available in version 1.1
The latest app update (version 1.2), available this week on both iOS and Android will include the following new feature:
Attestation for General Play Rounds – All General Play scores must now be approved by the marker before the round can be submitted to CDH. Here’s an overview of the process:
- After completing a round, the player will be prompted to send an approval request to their marker.
- The marker will receive a notification allowing them to review the hole‑by‑hole scores and either approve or reject the round.
- If the marker rejects the score, they will be asked to provide a reason.
- The player will then receive a notification explaining the rejection and will be able to amend the score before resubmitting it for approval.
- Once the score is approved, the marker will be required to sign the scorecard and the round will be automatically submitted to CDH.
Coming Soon…
- New HowDidiDo website which will be free-to-use and provide members with an additional way to access the platform alongside the mobile app
- Club Finder which will allow golfers to search other golf clubs and view their friends scores
- Attestation for Competitions helping to further improve the score verification process
